“Home is where the heART is” campaign helps rescue animals find great homes.

“Home is where the heART is” is a new campaign that Arson created for Oakland Animal Services to help get harder-to-adopt rescue animals new homes. The concept involved 20 local artists who created paintings, illustrations, photographs and even a quilt of each animal in the project – with the artwork joining each animal for free at their new home.

While we had high hopes for the idea, we frankly were blown away with both the generosity and talent of the artists. Tessa Brunton, Fred Noland, Kim Roth, Gabriel Harber, Pascale Wowak, Louis Raphael, Adrienne Simms, Michael Wertz, Bar Davi, Ruth Marcus, Nancy Brown, Doni Conner, Jessica Henry, Allie Kregness, David Polka, Kate Merriman, Ellen Shershow Pena, Josh Norem, Trish Roque and Melissa Rae Lopez all contributed to help these amazing animals find great new homes. We also pitched in, designing the campaign poster, social media graphics and more.

See our portfolio section for all the incredible artwork. And if you’re looking for a dog or cat, check out Oakland Animal Services and find your forever friend.
